Menu items

Adding and organizing category items in your digital menus is a crucial aspect of creating an engaging experience for your customers. In this section, we'll guide you through creating, updating, arranging, hiding, and deleting category items on NeatMenu.

Creating menu items

To create a new menu item:

1. Open the category where you'd like to create a new item.
2. Find and click on the "Create menu item" button to start adding a new item.
3. Provide the name and price of the item, which are required fields. Optionally, you can also add a description and an image for additional context and visual appeal.
4. Click "Save".

Note: All menu items will use the currency set for the location. To hide the currency, visit the "Style Configuration" of the location and adjust the settings accordingly.

Sorting menu items

To arrange the order of items within a category, simply drag and drop them in the category item listing. This allows you to prioritize specific items as needed.

Hiding menu items

To temporarily hide a menu item from your customers' view, locate the toggle button next to the item and click it. This will enable you to hide or display items as needed without deleting them.

Deleting menu items

Please exercise caution when deleting a menu item, as this action is permanent. To delete a menu item, locate the item and click the "Delete" button. A warning message will appear, reminding you that deleting an item is a permanent action. If you're certain about your decision, click "Yes" or "Confirm" to proceed with the deletion.
